Women's ODI World Cup 2025 Tickets Priced at Just INR 100, Becomes Most Affordable ICC Event Ever
The ICC has made history by launching the most affordable global cricket event ever — the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup, with ticket prices starting at just INR 100 (USD 1.14). The tickets went live on Thursday, September 4, during a four-day pre-sale window, offering fans a chance to witness world-class cricket at incredibly accessible prices.
To highlight the dramatic price drop, the 2022 edition of the tournament, held in New Zealand, had ticket prices set at NZD 7 for children and NZD 17 for adults, translating to approximately INR 350 (USD 4.45) and INR 850 (USD 10) respectively — nearly 8.5 times more than the current edition’s entry-level pricing.
The reduced pricing is part of the ICC’s effort to boost interest and accessibility for women's cricket, especially in cricket-loving nations like India and Sri Lanka, who are co-hosting the 13th edition of the tournament.
With just under a month to go until the opening match — India vs Sri Lanka on September 30 in Guwahati — anticipation is building for what promises to be a landmark edition of the Women's World Cup.
Eight teams will compete for the title: India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and South Africa. In addition to affordable ticketing, the ICC has also made a significant increase to the tournament's prize pool, allocating USD 13.88 million — almost four times more than the USD 3.5 million from the 2022 edition.
This move not only underscores the growing stature of women's cricket but also signals a strong push towards inclusivity and fan engagement.
