Bellerive Oval to Host Two ODIs During India Women's 2026 Tour of Australia
Hobart's Bellerive Oval will now host two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) during the India Women's tour of Australia in 2026, following a venue change prompted by infrastructure issues in Melbourne.
Originally scheduled to be played at Junction Oval, the third ODI on March 1, 2026, has been relocated to Bellerive Oval due to planning delays at the Melbourne venue. New lighting installations at Junction Oval will not be ready in time for the day-night match, and parts of the stadium were expected to be inaccessible to spectators—prompting organizers to move the game.
With the second ODI already scheduled at Bellerive Oval on February 27, and a tight turnaround between the two fixtures, rescheduling the third match as a day game in Melbourne was deemed unfeasible. Additionally, the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) was unavailable during this period owing to ongoing renovations.
As a result, Hobart will now host two out of the three ODIs, making it a key venue in what promises to be a highly anticipated bilateral series.
