Ireland to Tour Bangladesh in November for Two Tests and Three T20Is
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially confirmed that Ireland will tour Bangladesh in November 2025 for a full-fledged cricket series, comprising two Test matches and three T20 Internationals.
The Irish team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on November 6, with the tour kicking off with a two-match Test series. The first Test will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS) from November 11, while the second Test is scheduled at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Dhaka from November 19 to 23. This Test could mark a historic occasion for veteran wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim, who is expected to play his 100th Test during the Dhaka match.
Following the conclusion of the Test series, both teams will head to Chattogram for a three-match T20I series. The T20Is will be played at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (BSSFLMRCS). The first T20I is scheduled for November 27, with the second and third matches to be played on November 29 and December 2, respectively.
Bangladesh last played a Test series in June 2025, where they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sri Lanka in a two-match contest. They are currently leading a T20I series 2-0 against Afghanistan in the UAE.
On the other hand, Ireland will come into the series with a recent high, having defeated Zimbabwe in their most recent Test in February by 63 runs. However, their T20I form has dipped, following a 2-0 series loss to England in September.
The upcoming tour presents an opportunity for both teams to gain valuable international experience and test their bench strength ahead of the next season’s global tournaments.
