UAE Secure Final Spot for 2026 Men's T20 World Cup
United Arab Emirates (UAE) have claimed the final spot in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after defeating Japan by eight wickets in the Asia-East Asia Pacific (Asia-EAP) Qualifier in Al Amerat.
UAE’s qualification was sealed thanks to Haider Ali’s 3 for 20 and a 70-run opening stand between Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem, which made light work of Japan’s 117-run target.
UAE join Nepal and Oman as the last three teams to qualify for the 2026 edition, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2026.
