Canada Opt to Bat as UAE Ring in Changes for T20 World Cup Clash in Delhi

Dilpreet Bajwa won the toss and elected to bat first as Canada national cricket team faced the United Arab Emirates national cricket team in their T20 World Cup fixture in Delhi on Friday.

Bajwa said Canada were keen to make the most of the batting-friendly conditions in Delhi as they looked to bounce back from a disappointing start to the tournament. Canada retained the same playing XI that featured in their opening match.

The UAE, meanwhile, made two changes to their side. Muhammad Farooq and Muhammad Jawadullah were drafted into the XI, replacing Dhruv Parashar and Muhammad Rohid.

Both teams are searching for their first win of the competition after heavy defeats in their respective openers. The UAE were comprehensively beaten by the New Zealand national cricket team by ten wickets, while Canada went down by 57 runs against the South Africa national cricket team.
