in the air and safe. Little comes down the track and slices it towards mid-off. The fielder from extra cover moves to her right and dives. The ball evades her grasp and the batters scamper back for the second. 6 off 1

short and around off, Paul shuffles across and pulls it over backward square leg. This time the duo settle with a single. 8 from 2. They need couple of fours or a six and a couple. What is it going to be?

fired flat and around off, Paul kneels down and swipes it in front of square. Not off the middle and hence only a brace. New Zealand won't mind this. 11 off 4

Rosemary Mair to Gaby Lewis, out Caught by Suzie Bates!!

    Gaby Lewis 58(53) 6 0 · out

Oh no! This is a massive wicket. The well-set Lewis is back on her way to the dugout. New Zealand are thrilled and even the calm Bates is pumped she does a double fist pump after completing the catch. Slower ball outside off, Lewis comes down the track and has to reach for it, she miscues it straight up and the ball flies over extra cover. Bates takes a few steps back and manages to hang on. Not an easy catch but the veteran did well to cling on even after tumbling on her back. An excellent knock from the Ireland skipper comes to an end. She won't be there to take her side over the line. Amelia Kerr to Rebecca Stokell, out Caught by Jess Kerr!!

    116/3

    Rebecca Stokell 0(2) · out

Second wicket in the over! Amelia has turned it around for New Zealand. Just when her team needed her she has delivered. Stokell departs without troubling the scorers. Tossed up delivery, Stokell comes down the track and gets too close, does not get the elevation to clear mid-off and hits it straight to Jess. She makes no mistake and New Zealand starting to believe again. Rebecca Stokell c Jess Kerr b Amelia Kerr 0(2)

appeal for LBW. The umpire is not interested. Stokell shuffles across and sits down to sweep, misses and is rapped on the pads. The impact is outside off. There might have been a bit of glove as well..

    Orla Prendergast 59(53) 5 1 · out

The partnership is broken. New Zealand needed that and they are right back in the contest. Look at the reactions from Kerr and Green. They know the importance of this wicket. The pair roar in delight. Flighted delivery Prendergast sits down and connects decently with the slog sweep, but she cannot clear the deep mid-wicket fence, Green steadies herself well in from the rope and takes it safely. That was a pressure catch and she took it calmly. A fine knock from Prendergast comes to an end. Orla Prendergast c Maddy Green b Amelia Kerr 59(53) [4s-5 6s-1]

in the air and safe. Prendergast comes down the track, does not get to the pitch and hence is not able to middle the loft. She mistimes it to long-on and the ball lands in front of an incoming Plimmer. She does well to get her body behind and make the stop
